Kia Sorento: Rear Shock Absorber Removel

Remove the rear wheel and tire (A) from rear hub .
Tightening torque:
88.2 ~ 107.8 N.m (9.0 ~ 11.0 kgf.m, 65.0 ~ 79.5 lb-ft)

Be careful not to damage to the hub bolts when removing
the rear wheel and tire (A).

Support the rear lower arm (A) with a jack as shown in the illustration.
Certainly install Jack as being danger because of the
tension.

3. |
Loosen the bolt (A-1ea) and then remove the rear shock absorber
cover (B).
Tightening torque:
5.9 ~ 9.8 N.m (0.6 ~ 1.0 kgf.m, 4.3 ~ 7.2 lb-ft)

Remove the rear wheel guard.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "Rear Wheel Guard")

5. |
Loosen the bolt (A,B) & nut (C) and then remove the rear shock
absorber bracket (D).
Tightening torque:
Bolts :
(A) 137.3 ~ 159.9N.m (14.0 ~ 16.0kgf.m, 101.3 ~ 115.7lb-ft)
(B) 88.2 ~ 107.8 N.m (9.0 ~ 11.0 kgf.m, 65.0 ~ 79.5 lb-ft)
Nuts :
(C) 88.2 ~ 107.8 N.m (9.0 ~ 11.0 kgf.m, 65.0 ~ 79.5 lb-ft)

Loosen the nut (A) and then remove the rear shock absorber (B).
Tightening torque:
137.3 ~ 159.9N.m (14.0 ~ 16.0kgf.m, 101.3 ~ 115.7lb-ft)

Support the rear lower arm (A) with a jack as shown in the illustration.
Risk due to the spring tension to Honor Jack definitely
fixed.

Loosen the bolt (A-1ea) and then remove the rear shock absorber
cover (B).
Tightening torque:
5.9 ~ 9.8 N.m (0.6 ~ 1.0 kgf.m, 4.3 ~ 7.2 lb-ft)

Loosen the bolt (A) & nut (B) and then remove the rear shock absorber
(C).
Tightening torque:
Bolt (A) : 137.3
~ 159.9N.m (14.0 ~ 16.0kgf.m, 101.3 ~ 115.7lb-ft)
Nut (B) : 137.3
~ 159.9N.m (14.0 ~ 16.0kgf.m, 101.3 ~ 115.7lb-ft)
